Devouring Wild Animals
Yesterday’s news was full of reports of the Vietnamese people consuming some 80 species of wild animals who are on the CITES Endangered Species list. The reports were pretty revolting to those of us accustomed to feeding only on farm-raised domestic livestock, but such behavior has implications that reach much further than mere cultural sensitivity.
Here in Kenya, people are working frantically to save such endangered and nearly endangered species.
