IQCAfrica: International Teachers Revealed!

So excited about the great news of Africa’s first ever professionally organized quilt convention, the IQCAfrica 2012, I am truly thrilled to have been invited to teach there as well! I will be teaching Goodbye to the Grid and Darned Quilts, two of my most favorite workshops. Workshop registrations open early in January. One of my students at Quilt University took time out from our online quilt class Reflections to attend a Ricky Tims Super Seminar in Asheville, North Carolina. She was one of the organizers for the Seminar, so got a good firsthand look and had a wonderful time. She had this to say about her experience . . . Quilt Teacher Clones?

When someone uses a photograph of a quilt made in one of my classes to promote a class they are planning to teach, which just happens to have a title also recognizable as very nearly the original title of the workshop they studied with me, and when they clearly intend to profit from the usurpation of all my hard work and the years of experience and know-how it took for me to develop that class, I think it is time to draw the line!
