“Dena Crain is an awesome instructor.
Her ability to communicate . . . is truly amazing.
Every question was answered in great detail,
every new concept was explained in several different ways
to make sure we understood what she meant,
and the discussions were extremely informative.”

Description: Design and construct an innovative quilt top even as you quilt and embellish it – all in one smoothly integrated process. Simple drawing exercises result in a one-off pattern for each student to use to make an original design layered and reverse appliqué quilt; stacked, cut, folded and sewn through all layers at once.
Decorative stitching and threads add extra interest without adding unnecessary labor.
Emphasis is on the creation and enhancement of a focal point, color/value contrast, embellishment and top quality sewing methods.
